This week, we continued working on our outdoor adventure projects. Students wrote a quiz on ER verbs, and we started to learn about RE verbs today. We are at the end of our unit "En Plein Air", so there will be a test next week :)

  • Projet "En Plein Air" : à soumettre vendredi le 18 octobre (no more class time given for this)


French 11 - vendredi le 11 octobre

This week, students wrote a vocabulary test for our unit "on s'exprime" and we continued working on IR verbs. We looked at "les bandes-dessinées" and also watched the film "Persepolis", exploring the significance of the story's historical context.

French 9 - lundi le 7 octobre

 C'est déjà presque l'Action de Grâces !

Over the past week, students have started a project on creating a French tourism company, having to put together excursion packages using their Vocab words from our outdoors unit. We've also continued looking at ER conjugations. Don't forget about the quiz this week!

This past week, we have been analyzing more French songs and learning IR verbs. Students have also been working on a project "Créer une ligne de temps pour une artiste francophone". I haven't assigned a due date for this yet. We do however have some upcoming tests.

  • vendredi le 4 octobre - Quiz de Verbes: - IR Verbs Conjugation and definitions- First two sections only! (regular IR verbs, partir, sortir, mentir, dormir, sentir, servir, courir)

 J'espère que tout le monde a pu voir l'art local à Revelstoke ce weekend!

Last week, students started reviewing rules for RE verbs. We will have a quiz on Thursday this week. Students were also given a Vocab List for our "Arts" unit. We've continued to analyze several French songs and learned about Gustave Eiffel. Also, students did an Art Allery scavenger Hunt downtown and wrote a paragraph on some of the pieces they saw.

Last week, students worked on vocabulary related to autumn. They wrote sentences and created a slideshow for their sentences. The assignment was titled "Mon livre d'Automne". We also worked a bit more on possessive pronouns.

  • Test de Vocab (PINK SHEETS): Demain, le 24 septembre (mardi) - Make sure to review numbers and all the terms on your pink sheets. If you misplace/forget your pink sheet, ask a friend for a copy!

 Bonjour les élèves de français 9! Just a quick reminder that you have a quiz Friday on the verbs 'être', 'avoir', 'faire' and 'aller'. I will distribute paper copies of the conjugations today, but here is a snapshot in case you need an extra copy.
