 Have a great couple of weeks off French 9's!!

This week, we've been continuing our practice on adjectives (one hand-out completed in class). We also played several games to practice the Agreement/BANGS rules. Students also completed a quiz on 'LIRE/DIRE/ÉCRIRE' conjugations.

 Five days to go before Spring Break! 

Last week, students worked on IRE verbs (see notes below). There will be a quiz this Thursday. Also, there was an important lesson on the use of adjectives. If you were absent, please check your outlook email for a copy of the notes. I was away on Wednesday, so students worked on a booklet on vocabulary for St. Patrick's Day.

 Je vous souhaite un weekend merveilleux les onzièmes !!! Beaucoup de choses se passent!!! La neige est arrivée finalement pour faire du ski, il y a le Carnival de Revelstoke, et le film Dune 2 joue au théâtre !!!

This week, we've been working on -RE verbs and more practice with possessive adjectives. We also officially started out first Vocabulary Unit : À Table. 

À noter:

• -RE Verb Quiz : mardi le 5 mars (Verb chart style, definition matching, 'connaitre' won't be on there)
• Worksheets to be handed in: -RE verb booklets, possessive adjective worksheet, 'Sur la Table' booklet, 'Bon Appétit (Au Marché) questions

Also, we watched a tourism video about Paris. Students then wrote down 5 interesting things about the video and submitted that. If you weren't here, you can submit the same. Here are instructions to access the video :

1. Go to https://revelstokesecondary.sd19.bc.ca/

2. On the top right corner, click "Staff login"

3. Then, in the left margin, click "SD 19 sharepoint"and scroll down to "Media Library". This will open up "Stream"

4. Click on the Search engine and type "Globe Trekker". You will see some options - Click on "Paris 2"

 Bonjour French 11! J'espère que vous avez passé une belle fin de semaine en faisant du ski!

Since last Tuesday, we started looking at RE Verbs in the present tense, and we also started our new vocabulary unit "À Table!" (Let's Eat!). We also did a scavenger hunt on French Food labels at Southside market. Tuesday is Career Day, so I will see you next on Wednesday's class.

- Carnaval projects were due last Friday

 It's been a while since posting on here Grade 9's, but here are some important reminders:

• "En plein Air" Vocabulary Test : mercredi le 28 février. See a copy of the vocab list here :

• IR Quizzes Monday and Tuesday this week (IR Regular, Partir, Sortir): le 26/27 février
• Plein Air Projects for Block D classes were due last week. Block H classes can submit them electronically Tuesday Feb. 26.

J'espère que votre longue fin de semaine a fait du bien!

We finished a mini-unit on the Quebec Carnaval and students have been completing some amazing board game projects!  We won't have any more class time to work on them, so they will be due at the end of the week.
